To answer this question, we currently have to look at Spain’s laws on the matter. Per Wikipedia, Prostitution in Spain is not addressed by any specific law, but a number of activities related to it, such as pimping, are illegal. The sex industry in Spain is estimated to be worth €3.7 billion.
The only article in the Code dealing specifically with adult prostitution is Artícle 188, which bans pimping:
Whoever causes a person of legal age to engage in prostitution or to continue to do so, with the use of violence, intimidation or deception, or by abusing a position of power or the dependency or vulnerability of the victim, shall be punished with a prison sentence of two to four years and a fine from 12 to 24 months. Gaining profit from the prostitution of another shall incur the same penalty, even with the consent of that person.
Owning an establishment where prostitution takes place is in itself legal, but the owner cannot derive financial gain from the prostitute or hire a person to sell sex because prostitution is not considered a job and thus has no legal recognition.
Prostitution in Spain is less regulated than in many European countries.
The closest is Meloneras, then El Tablero and Mogan Mall in Puerto Rico. Further afield there’s Atlántico at Vecindario, Las Terrazas and Mirador at Telde, Las Arenas in Las Palmas and Los Alisios on the outskirts of Las Palmas.
The main shopping street in Las Palmas is Triana and the surrounding area, as well as Mesa y López, which is a very long street with big known brands. Most side streets branching off the main street have shops too often worth looking at.
The only afterparty happening every day at the moment is at B52, starting at 6am. It’s not designated as gay but rather gay-friendly. The alternative is to open Grindr or Scruff at 5am and find spontaneous private parties happening or organize your own gathering.
If you are in a premium resort (Lopesan or Riu), there. If not “The Bistro” and “Mardis Gras”.
People usually take off from the gym when they’re on vacation which is the reason why you will only find one really good gym in Maspalomas. It is the one of the resort Lopesan Costa Meloneras.
Los Almendros and The Basement
Like everywhere there are several chains of supermarkets in Maspalomas. The ultimate best one is Mercadona but they are not located in the resort area. They are in the residential ones (San Fernando is the closest to Yumbo). You can go there if you rented a car or by taxi. You can also walk there if you feel like it. Go there if you have to buy a lot of stuff. Near Mercadona, also good are Lidl, HyperDino and EuroSpar.
In the resort area you have much more expensive and small supermarkets scattered everywhere. By order of least expensive to more expensive: Spar, Dino, Broncemar and Cordillo.
